* The Memorial Day Presentation for tomorrow is a presentation that will be for students only. A presenter will be coming in to offer two short programs for students to learn about Memorial Day and the importance of honoring our Veterans.

We were informed yesterday by the Railers that the event is close to being sold out, so make sure to get your tickets!

We would like to share our appreciation for the Literacy Night Committee and the time they spent planning and developing a fun and engaging event for families. We would also like to give a special thanks to Franklin's Caterers Company for donating the coca and cookies, which were certainly enjoyed by so many!

Major Edwards Families,
Please review the following information and upcoming dates:
Halloween Parade:
The Halloween Parade will be held on Monday, 10/31 @ 1:15 - 1:45
We will be changing the format this year and the parade will be held on Crescent St. to ensure that all students have accessibility to participate in the parade.
The Police department will be closing Crescent St. from 1:00 - 1:45 pm
The parade will begin promptly @ 1:15. We will begin with Preschool students followed by Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and lastly 5th grade.
By grade, students will slowly walk 2 laps around Crescent St. (blocked off area) and then return to school for the end of the day.
We ask that families remain on the sidewalks and avoid coming onto Crescent St. for photo opportunities / interactions with your child / student.
Students will not be allowed to be dismissed from the parade.
Students may wear their "tasteful" costumes to school, however Halloween masks and toy weapons will not

Parent Pick up / Dismissal:
* A friendly reminder that if you are picking your student(s) up during our dismissal process, please Do not line up on Crescent St. until the buses begin leaving the parking lot. This is to keep the flow of traffic moving and to avoid any traffic congestion. There is parking at Goodale Park if you are looking for a place to wait. Let us know if you have any questions.
